Cross-country skiing
Tracked for skating and for classic ski technique
The entire network of cross-country ski trails stretches from the Prebersee to Obertauern.
Five alpine ski trails with excellent skiing conditions:
- Katschberg Trail: 16 km long, elev. 1641m to 1940 m, level of difficulty: intermediate
- Lignitz Trail: 6 km long, elev. 1170 m to 1400 m, level of difficulty: intermediate
- Obertauern: 4 trail loops, a total of 28 km, elev. 1740 m, level of difficulty: intermediate to difficult
- Prebersee Trail: 9 km long, elev. 1500 m to 1650 m, level of difficulty: intermediate to difficult
- Schönfeld Trail: 20 km long, elev. 1730 m to 2020 m, level of difficulty: intermediate
For the ambitious cross-country “skater”, there are 70 km of trails just for you. Boards provide info about length, level of difficulty, and direction. There is also a bus system from the Samerhof in Mariapfarr to all cross-country skiing areas.
